There is no residency or physical presence requirement for Vanuatu citizenship. Applicants need only attend a remote or in-person oath ceremony and submit biometrics at their nearest consulate. Though formally voluntary, maintaining some connection helps preserve diplomatic goodwill. No exemptions or travel obligations are required post-citizenship.
