Permanent Residency

  • Granted immediately upon approval of SUACE investment; ID (cédula) issued promptly.

Naturalization

  • After three years of legal residency with 183 days per year, applicants can apply for citizenship by naturalization.
  • Requirements: demonstration of a steadily engaged legal activity or investment, Spanish or Guaraní proficiency, knowledge of national anthem, and clean criminal history.
  • Dual citizenship is allowed in practice (de facto), though formally limited by treaty status.
