01

Who runs it?

MoCIIP runs the program, with applications, management and tracking online through the program portal (portal).

02

How the investment works

The portal says you may qualify if you:

  • start or invest in a business;
  • own property in tourism zones;
  • buy bonds or listed shares;
  • hold a fixed-term deposit;
  • employ 50 or more Omanis;
  • are nominated by an invested company.

MoCIIP says the minimum investment is OMR 200,000, and that some tracks are tied to hiring Omanis (MoCIIP). Property investors can buy ready-built units in Integrated Tourism Complexes. Entrepreneurs can set up companies with 100% ownership.

The official pages we cite don't give the amount or holding period for each route. Confirm them with MoCIIP before you commit money.

03

What else does it give you?

MoCIIP lists:

  • property ownership outside Integrated Tourism Complexes;
  • special immigration lanes;
  • the right to employ three domestic workers;
  • a dedicated relationship manager.

It also says Oman guarantees the legal right to repatriate capital and profits.

04

Which family members are included?

MoCIIP says the program includes family "without restrictions on age or number." Ask which relatives count before you apply.

05

What should families from Asia and the Gulf check?

Tax. We have not saved an official source on Oman's personal tax position, so this page makes no tax claim.

In our view, Oman suits Gulf families who want a 10-year base at a lower entry point than the UAE's AED 2 million.
